Welcome to Drumming Through Time!
Welcome to Drumming Through Time, a space dedicated to exploring the rich history of drumming and fostering a community where drummers can share their passion and knowledge.
About Me
My name is Pranav Nallapati, and I’ve been drumming for the last 13 years. My journey began with Indian percussion, learning traditional instruments like the tabla and dhol drums. These intricate and deeply expressive rhythms formed the foundation of my musical understanding and appreciation for percussion’s role in storytelling and culture.
Over time, my musical taste expanded, and I found myself drawn to the powerful energy of American rock music. Bands like Iron Maiden and The Jimi Hendrix Experience completely reshaped my perspective on drumming, introducing me to dynamic techniques and high-energy performances that inspired my own playing style.
Currently, I’m working on a pop punk project with my roommate called With Autumn We Fall, where we’re blending rhythmic complexity with the raw emotion of punk music. This project allows me to bring together my diverse drumming influences while experimenting with new sounds and techniques.
